ABOUT ME
DESIGN. CREATE. ENHANCE.
From an early age I was always fascinated by design. I have learned that design has the power to effect people’s thoughts and feelings within a space which is quite a marvelous thing. For as long as I can remember, Interior Design was always the profession I wanted to pursue. When I enter a beautiful well-designed environment that makes me feel comfortable and connected, I immediately begin to analyze the elements that make it successful. It is exciting to realize that I can create that feeling for other people, and to me that is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a designer.
In May 2017 I received my BFA in Interior Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During my time at UNCG I had the opportunity to gain experience in the design industry by having two different internships at Alem Dickey Designed Interiors in Greensboro, NC and CJMW Architecture in Winston Salem, NC. Both of these internships gave me copious amounts of real world exposure to clients, projects and their important deadlines, construction administration, budgeting, as well as allowed me to work with other designers and select finishes for a variety of project types including hospitality, senior living, institutional and more.
Immediately following graduation from UNCG, I started pursuing my master’s degree at Florida State University in the Department of Interior Architecture and Design. I am a teaching assistant in the department for the Revit construction document class as well as the AutoCAD class. In addition, I am also completing my third internship as an interior design and marketing intern with Gilchrist Ross Crowe Architects. I will be graduating with a Masters of Science in Interior Architecture in August of 2018 and will be seeking full time employment in hospitality design as an entry level interior designer.
